Masked man allegedly turned up at people’s homes, falsely posing as Foodpanda delivery rider

Update: In U-turn, Foodpanda now says masked deliveryman is its staff who turned up at wrong address hours after claiming a fully masked deliveryman was not its staff, food delivery company Foodpanda has now said he is indeed its rider who had turned up at a wrong residential address.

The photo that was widely circulated on messaging platforms showed a fully masked man wearing the uniform of food delivery service Foodpanda. In the accompanying message, users were warned that these men are “targeting” people’s homes.”


A fully masked man wearing a Foodpanda shirt and holding a plastic bag has allegedly been knocking on home doors claiming to deliver food even when no one requested for food deliveries.

Photo of this man has been circulating on messaging platforms.

It was said that these guys pretended to deliver food and asked residents to open the door.

If you see this person and haven’t ordered directly from Foodpanda, please call the police immediately. 

Food delivery company, Foodpanda, is investigating this issue and has confirmed that this person is not a rider on his shift but is falsely posing as a delivery rider.

Riders with Foodpanda are taught not to cover their face and always behave amiably with their customers.

They will only head to homes when customers order food through their app or website. Customers can then track its riders through the app and be notified when the rider is arriving.

According to the company, this is the first time they have received such reports.
