A popular restaurant, Ban Heng restaurant, along Boon Keng Road, caught fire yesterday (24 January) morning.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the fire at around 10.45am, which involved an exhaust duct at the restaurant.
Several firefighters and a Red Rhino vehicle were dispatched to the scene.
A water jet was used to put out the fire and no injuries were reported.
