The pedo who was caught in a viral video allegedly molesting a seven-year-old girl at a funfair in Malaysia has been arrested.
The suspect, who is a factory worker in his 40s, will be remanded on Tuesday under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
Police, however, declined to reveal where he was arrested.
The man was seen fondling the chest of the child beneath her red dress while loud music plays in the background. The child’s face is not censored in the original video.
The preliminary investigation showed that the man who was accused of committing the act is a friend of the girl’s family.
“The man had gone to the woman’s house in Sungai Lalang at 11pm Saturday and asked her if he could take the girl out to buy some food. He brought the girl home about two hours later,” said Kuala Muda district police chief Assistant Commissioner Saifi Abdul Hamid.
The incident believed to took place at a funfair in Taman Ria, Sungai Petani at 11.30pm last Saturday.
