If you have female friends using Tinder, please ask them to read this.

A social media influencer, Melody Yap, published a Facebook post on 31 December 2017, warning ladies on Tinder of a “psychotic creep” named Wenhui Tan or Nowe (alias).

Yap’s female friend was matched to him on Tinder and they went on one lunch date on 30 December 2017. But he turned berserk after the girl rejected him.

He went all the way out to abuse her emotionally – insulting her and her family and even threatened to look her up at her workplace and lodge a complaint against her.

Tinder date gone wrong

He went to Yap’s friend’s Facebook account, saved photos of her and threatened to “expose” her to the whole world.

It got worse when Tan started to spew vulgarities.

When Yap’s friend blocked him on Whatsapp, the pestering did not stop. Tan turned to iMessage and started to abuse Yap’s friend’s parents.

According to Yap, her friend blocked Tan on iMessage after a chain of texts.

After Tan was blocked on Whatsapp and iMessage, he harassed her on another platform.

At this point in time, we can assume that Yap’s friend and Tan had breakfast together but she left abruptly for an unexpected event. Things spiraled downwards after that.

Yap’s friend is not the only victim

Based on the screenshots which Yap posted on her Facebook, it seemed like there were at least 8 other girls who have met or heard about Tan before and had nothing good to say about him.

Female 1 said Tan approached her at her workplace and touched her soles for the “Bare Your Feet” initiative:

Female 2 said she used to stay near him and actually feared for her life:

Female 3 said she met Tan on Tinder and he followed her home on a bus even though she told him she could go home by herself.

Female 4 said Tan was known as “Nowe” a few years ago on Okcupid – an online dating app. He also hurled expletives at her when she didn’t want to meet up with him.

Female 5 said Tan is really crazy.

Female 6 said Tan used to take upskirt photos when he was in RP.

Female 7 said she also met Tan on Tinder and calls himself “Kailo”. By now, we know that Tan has a few names.

Female 8 said she was traumatized by Tan after meeting him through Okcupid. He bought a “rope” in a gift shop and said he wanted to tie her up with it.
