M’sian guy springs a mega surprise on his girlfriend after scaring the shit out of her

It’s every man’s dream to propose to his girlfriend in a way that she’ll remember it for life.

A 30-year-old optician store worker, Cheung Chan Choon, wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Yew Kar Yee, but he wanted to make their story very special.

He got Yew’s sister to organise a fake trip to Singapore for the holidays and got her to take Yew to the Sultan Azlan Shah airport in Ipoh.

Yew fell for the plan and even believed that the cameras that were set up were for the two singers who were performing Christmas songs at the airport.

But she was soon caught off guard when Cheung was accosted and later ‘arrested’ by the airport police for carrying illegal items in his bag.

He was taken away to an airport security room but returned shortly dressed in a pilot’s costume.

He then declared his love for her in Cantonese and dropped to one knee to propose to her. Yew probably figured out that everything she was worried about wasn’t real but part of the proposal plan.

Amid tears and relief, she said yes to her romeo. The happy couple is planning to tie the knot in a year’s time.

Yew later revealed that she was extremely worried, her hands were shaking and she had no clue what was happening to Cheung.

“I never expected something like this, but I’m so happy now. He is such caring man and he is special in so many ways.”

Cheung also said he was nervous but he told himself he had to do this as he want to spend his whole life with her.

The entire proposal costs him RM10,000 and six months of planning.

For this dramatic plan to work, he engaged a videography company who helped to make arrangements with the airport authorities and got him a pilot’s costume.

Now we’re not sure if this plan will work if it was executed in Changi Airport but we’re glad everything went smoothly for the newly-engaged couple.
