Prepare for Heavy traffic at Causeway and Second Link

Share

If you’re thinking of crossing the Causeway into Johor Bahru this weekend, please be prepared for heavy traffic. The Second Link will also be expected to be seeing heavy traffic.

Causeway

It’s the Christmas long weekend and most Singaporeans will cross the border for a short trip to Malaysia.

All 77 car and bus lanes at the Causeway and the 48 lanes at the Second Linkat Tuas will be in operation during the festive season, according to the Johor Immigration Department.

To prepare yourself for the long journey across the border, here are a few tips:

  1. Check Checkpoint.sg for the latest traffic updates.
  2. Get to the checkpoints early…real early…
  3. Prepare your bladders…don’t drink too much before you drive. It will be a nightmare to drive halfway and look for a toilet.
