3 men arrested by the Coast Guard for swimming to Singapore

The Singapore Police Coast Guard arrested 3 men for unlawful entry into Singapore on Saturday (9 December).

The three men aged between 22 and 29 tried to swim from Malaysia to Singapore at 10.58 pm.

They were caught and arrested at 11.22pm.

The penalties for illegal entry into Singapore are a jail term of up to 6 months plus a minimum of 3 strokes of the cane.
