“Hi,

Would wish to share my bad experience with Kumoya cafe. We went to this cafe today around 2:30pm on the 8 November 2017.

While the five of us were queuing up at miffy cafe, the waitress informed us that they only had a table for 4 as such we would have to squeeze a little however should the table beside us leave, we could have their table to sit comfortably together.

A while later, the table beside us left, we were asking the waitress if we could join the tables however she informed us that the boss had given the table to other customers.

We then told the waitress that it was alright and we would just squeeze a little and that if she could not keep her promise in future, she should not have committed to the customers she was attending to.

The boss then came acting all arrogant asking what the problem was. We told him that it was fine if he wanted to give the table to customers on the waiting list, however he could have said it in a proper and polite manner unlike the way he was reacting.

We had ordered 10 items of food and drinks amounting to $163.90 and we felt that the table was not enough to accommodate everything.

As we felt extremely unwelcome by his actions we decide to leave without consuming any of the food. We are alright if we had to squeeze at the table, we were just checking if the table as promised was for us.

As the boss had already given the table to another customer it was fine. The boss just had to tell us nicely. But he did not, as the boss of the cafe, he could have handled the situation better.

The boss shouted saying that the bench (at the other side of the table) could accommodate more than 2 people. I told him that we had ordered quite a number of dishes and that it was going to be hard to squeeze and eat. The boss then turned to the 2 new customer and said that our table are not happy that he gave the table to them . At this point we were not unhappy until he started being rude asking his new customers to move to another table. He then proceed to push the table at the side towards us. (In the video there are 3 tables after he had pushed the table over)

Main point : we were alright sitting at our table for 4 even when the waitress could not fulfill her promise of letting us sit at the next table once they had moved off and that the boss could have been polite. This is the kind of service that turns people off, it doesn’t matter how good or cute the cafe and food may be.”
