If you’re hoping to take a wefie together with our new President Halimah Yacob, you can do it on Sunday, 22 October 2017.
The Istana will be open for the public to visit as part of its Deepavali open house. And it will be President Halimah’s first open house after she took office last month.
But remember hor, it’s the official Istana at Dhoby Ghaut k? Don’t go to Yistana Yishun ok?
The Istana grounds will be open from 8.30am to 6pm.
Visitors can look forward to the following activities:
- Guided nature walks to see flora, fauna and biodiversity
- Guided tour of the Istana main building
- self-guided tour to explore the Istana grounds using the Istana Garden Walk mobile application
- Purchase Istana souvenirs, proceeds of the sale goes to charity.
Admission is free to enter the Istana grounds, but fess of $2 to $10 will be charged for guided tours and to enter the Istana main building. All entrance fees collected will also be donated to charity.
