Changi Airport Terminal 3 to conduct counter-terrorism exercise

If you happen to be at Changi Airport Terminal 3 in the wee hours of tomorrow morning (17 Oct 2017), don’t be alarmed when you see fire, flashes, and hear gun shots.

The terminal will be involved in a multi-agency counter-terrorism exercise between 1am and 3am.

The agencies involved include, the Singapore Police Force, Changi Airport Group, Civil Aviation Authrotiy of Singapore. Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Civil Defence Force, Ministry of Health together with other agencies.

A statement from the SPF said: “During the exercise, blanks and pyrotechnics will be used at various locations of the terminal. Members of the public are advised not to be alarmed.”

Announcements will be made over the terminal’s public address system before the start of the exercise and signs will be displayed prominently.
