58 year old K.T. Fan was given away by his biological mother when he was born. And he is yearning to look for her today.
He sought the help of Crime Library (Singapore) to help him locate his biological mother.
His mother was only 17 years old when she gave birth to him.
According to Mr Fan, the information he has showed that his biological mother tried to find him soon after she gave him away.
“She could trace Madam Lucy Eu, who was the midwife at my delivery, but could not find me.”
Through a DNA test, he was able to locate his second cousin but has no other clue that could help him find his mother.
But his cousin’s mother and grandmother objected to giving out any information on his search.
“I only found out that my mum lived in Tampines thirteen years ago but she could have moved house,” said Mr Fan.
The surname Fan, was given to him by his adoptive parents. His birth certificate does not have any other name except what his adoptive parents gave him.
He was born on February 6, 1959 in Geylang.
His adoptive parents used to live in Katong at Lorong Stangee Place and in Tiong Bahru in the 50s to 60s.
