Our friends in Kuala Lumpur had their own version of the Nasi Lemak Burger that was created by restaurant, myBurgerLab some months back. But soon, they might even have a Char Kway Teow Burger. *Slurps!*
Online food channel FungryTV created the burger, which won’t have char kway teow in it but will have fishcake, cockles, chilli, beansprouts, salted duck egg yolk and halal bak kwa, according to creator and FungryTV co-founder Razif Hashim.
But the Char Kway Teow burger that is featured by FungryTV is the Penang version which is different from the Singapore version…heck, even the name is spelled differently, Char Kuey Teow versus Char Kway Teow.
Maybe Singapore should have its own version of our Char Kway Teow burger or maybe Hokkien Mee burger?
