A tree fell on a 5 year old Spanish boy along Upper Bukit Timah Road on 17 August 2017, and he died from the injuries on 25 August 2017.

After the accident, he was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit for treatment.
According to reports, doctors could not operate on the boy as his conditions were unstable.
The boy’s father is in Singapore for work and he had brought his whole family over.

Earlier this year, a female Indian national was also killed after a tembusu tree fell on her at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
