Tampines Library has moved into Our Tampines Hub and will open its doors to visitors on 5 August.
Within the library is actually a culinary studio.
What??? Cooking studio/kitchen in a library???
For what?
Hmm, maybe its for all the very-free-and-got-nothing-to-do aunties to bring in their recipe books to try new dishes without having to borrow the books out of the library.
Wrong!
The National Library Board will partner the People’s Association to hold classes there lar. Oh, and cooking classes not free hor. Must pay a “small” fee.
But that’s not all, the library also has a indoor playground within the compounds which will open to the public in October.
And if you have been to the PIXEL Labs@ NLB at Jurong Regional Library (limpeh never go before), you will be happy to see the same lab that offers visitors a dedicated space to be creative.
So if you are like limpeh, quite free-and-got-nothing-to-do, go see see the new Tampines library.
