Wah seh Malaysia MRT really on par with Singapore SMRT! First day only got problem liao

During the Malaysia’s mass rapid train (MRT) line launch, Malaysia’s Prime Minister Najib Razak claimed “Malaysia MRT is considered superior to comparable systems in London and New York on Monday, July 17, 2017 as he launched the second phase of the line.

“I asked someone recently to rate our MRT, where do we stand compared to others? The person said we are better than London, New York, or Hong Kong. And on a par with Singapore,” he added.

Being operational for the first day, Pasar Seni station experienced an electrical fault.  (This is not satire but real, reported by Malaysia media, Shin Chew and ChinaPress)

Luckily, it lasted only for four minutes, did not cause much inconvenience.

This fault happened on Monday (17 July) 4 pm at Pasar Seni station. The fault caused the public, who were looking forward to try the new service, some concern.

When Shin Chew Daily seek clarification from Prasana Malaysia Berhad, Mr Lin, supervisor, shared that the fault is not a full black out.

As it only happened at the station, the train service was not affected. “Power trips are very common, similar to the ones you will experience at home. Regarding the power trip, it may be tripped accidentally by someone.

Mr Lin also mentioned that there was no complaint from the members of public too.
