The Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.
On 19 July 2017 at about 8.30am, a 32-year-old woman reported to the Police that she had been molested by a man on board a MRT train along Yishun Ave 2.
The suspect later alighted at Ang Mo Kio MRT station and was arrested by officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division and Transport Security Command.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 20 July 2017 with the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
