Did you know that the Singapore-Malaysia border is the world’s busiest, with a few hundred thousand crossing every day.
This means that there’s a good chance that a lot of (and I mean, a lot…) crime suspects and persons with terror plots can come in and out of Singapore easily if security is not tight.

Which is why security at the entry points around Singapore has been ramped up with new technology to keep our borders safe.
A customised video analytics system used at Woodlands Checkpoint has helped to identify many blacklisted travellers.
This increased security also means that you cannot suka suka bring in illegal stuff across the Singapore-Malaysia border ok? The Home Team partnered the US Department of Homeland Security to develop a walk-through system that blows air on you to trace for amounts of explosives or even narcotics. If you suay suay walk through, sure get caught one.
But even if there are all these equipment and technology to keep our borders safe, we still need to stay vigilant and report any crime and suspected radicalised activities to the authorities hor.
