No need to go JB or Batam liao…A&W coming back to Singapore!!!

Share

Yup, you never read wrongly. A&W has confirmed that it will be coming back to Singapore.

A&W

The days of crossing the Causeway or taking a ferry to Batam will be gone. (Your wife will also no longer be questioning why you go to Batam so often liao…)

A&W (Allen and Wright) left Singapore more than 10 years ago, and Singaporeans really really love their Coney Dogs and Root Beer Floats to go overseas and boast about eating there.

Its CEO Kevin Bazner said that the fastfood chain has already built an office in Singapore in 2016 to prepare for the expansion into Singapore.

The flagship restaurant is expected to open in 2018 and will also serve as a training store for Southeast Asia.

A&W

If you are born after 1980s, you probably won’t know that A&W was one of the first fastfood chain to be opened in Singapore in 1966 before others such as KFC and McDonalds.

Now who’s gonna bet if there will be a long queue on the first day of operations when A&W reopens in Singapore?
