9 Religious books kena ban

9 religious books by a hardline Singaporean Muslim preacher for containing “extremist religious views”.

The books by preacher Rasul Dahri were marked as prohibited publications under the Undesirable Publications Act, the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) announced today.

The ban comes into effect 21 June. If you own any of his books, you need to quickly surrender the books to police.

Religious Books

Rasul Dahri was jailed in Johor in 2016 for teaching Islam without accreditation.

The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) also said that he has been known to have “exclusivist, hardline and extreme positions in Islam”.

His videos also show him promoting violence to not only towards Muslims but also other religious communities and the state.
