A 29-year-old Traffic Police, Staff Sergeant Nadzrie Bin Matin was involved in a traffic accident along Serangoon Road at about 10.40 am on Jun 1, 2017, morning while he was performing traffic patrol duties and later died while he was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Family and friends gathered at the void deck of Block 487A Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 at 12 pm (Jun 2, 2017) to pay their last respects to Staff Sergeant Nadzrie Bin Matin, while other netizens show their respect by changing their Facebook profile.

But an inhumane by the name of Thomas Chua Poh Heng choose to publish a sick post instead.

He alleged that the deceased traffic police officer had issued him a traffic ticket before and his death was karma for allegedly abusing his authority as a policeman.

사랑시라: Please understand that everyone has a job to do. When someone broke the law, they will have to answer for it. His job was to PROTECT the PUBLIC from DANGEROUS driver like you from endangering innocent lives. He did a good job and his passing while on duty is a great loss and deeply saddened. On top of that being a role model while in the force, he was given HONORARY SEND OFF that only a few may get.

Your job is to provide excellent customer service quality and you too have been doing a good job otherwise a top notch Airline Company like SIA wouldn’t keep you. Bottom line is everyone of us wants to excel in their job as it is our passion. Singapore Airlines

Law and Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam was deeply upset and angry about a gloating post that one Thomas Chua Poh Heng has made on Police Officer Nadzrie’s death. Nadzrie died while on duty.

He wrote:

Thomas was gloating about Nadzrie’s death, because Nazdrie had given him a ticket!

People like Thomas are sick in the head. No decency or any sense of right and wrong.

What is a TP officer to do when someone breaks the law? It is because of officers like Nadzrie that the rest of us have safety and security.

Thomas’s comments are an insult to all police officers, and deeply offensive to Nadzrie’s family .

You wonder what human decency people like Thomas have – to be so self-centred, smug and making nasty remarks about an officer who died doing his duty. While there is a completely distraught wife, grieving parents and family, and teammates who are crying.

Thomas Chua Poh Heng has since then disabled his Facebook profile

My guess, The Police will be visiting Thomas Chua Poh Heng at his doorstep very soon.

Good luck

UPDATE: Thomas Chua Poh Heng arrested
