Last year, our friends from across the causeway had a “lady” shock petrol station customers. The cut-out cardboard picture of a the “Shell mineral water lady” pops out of petrol kiosks giving customers shocks after shock.
Customers were so shocked by the cut-out that Shell had the posters removed from the petrol stations and replace them with posters that said, “Maaf Kalau Terkejut…” (Sorry if I gave you a shock…”.
5 months later, the Shell mineral water lady is back!
The only difference between last year and this year, is that this time round she’s giving a ‘thumbs up’ sign and more of her body is shown. And again, Malaysians start freaking out again…
The cut-out cardboard is positioned again in a way that looks like she’s popping out from behind the kiosks. No wonder people are getting terkejut (shock).

Be warned…if you go and pump petrol in the wee hours of the night in Malaysia, “she” might just be watching you.
