You know Singaporeans are getting rich when your vending machine does not just sell soft drinks and snacks, but also luxury vehicles.
Yes, luxury vehicles, including Bentleys, Ferraris and Lamboghinis.
If you didn’t know, a 15-storey showroom was opened in December by a local used car seller Autobahn Motors. The showroom which is located around Jalan Bukit Merah is touted to be the “World’s largest luxury car vending machine”.
It’s quite high-tech. All customers have to do is to choose a luxury car out of the 60 cars on display from a touchscreen display on the ground floor and the selected car will arrive within one or two minutes after being retrieved by an advanced system.
Autobahn’s General Manager said the vending machine format was an innovative way to efficiently make use of the land to store their large number of cars.
It’s not the only vending machine in the world that sells cars though. US company Carvana also opened an eight-floor tower that holds up to 30 cars in San Antonio, Texas.
Like that, maybe next time our HDB flats can also have our own personal car park, then no need to have Multi-Storey Car Park already.
