SBS Transit Bus services 181, 240, 241 and 243G will have their operating hours extended on April 14 and 21 (both Fridays).
All four services will run till 1am from the Boon Lay bus interchange.
The extension of operating hours is to cater for the early closure of the MRT stations between Lakeside and Joo Koon on the East-West Line, SBS Transit said in a statement on Wednesday (April 12).
“The early closure of these stations will facilitate track maintenance and renewal work at railway junctions,” said SMRT.
The stations affected are from Lakeside to Joo Koon on April 14 and 21, there will be no service in both directions from 11pm on those Fridays.
It will give engineering staff double the time to carry out maintenance work and to replace rails worn out by wear and tear at the critical junctions so that hopefully it don’t break down so often after the maintenance.
